Mr Sidney H Beard  moved with his family into Barcombe Hall in Paignton.  The building was also in use as the Headquarters of the Order of the Golden Age.
The building was designed by Mr edward Davis and built in 1837 - 1838.  It was demolished in 1985 to make way for a housing estate.
