My dad, Evan Richards d.o.b. 16/3/1916 in Merthyr Tydfil, S.Wales. Died 1991 aged 74.
Visited Goodrington on the recommendation of his uncle who was one of the unemployed Welsh miners who were brought down as part of a Government scheme of redeployment to build the Cliff Walk. Evan had a (rare) picture taken in 1936, when he was just 20, shortly after the walk was completed (1935) The pillar he leans against was put in place by his uncle.
