The 2 modern houses replaced the thatched cottages to the left of the Catholic Church.
The Catholic Church had previously been Kingdom Hall, Mencap Hall, Coop Hall, Baptist Chapel, and Brethren Chapel. It is now converted to Flats known as Kingdom Court.
The phone box now occupies the site of an old circular cattle trough, removed in 1936
